Artist Highlight: Fin Peach

Updated: Apr 29

At just 19, Fin Peach is already carving out a name for himself in a way that feels both fresh and rooted in something real. Raised in the small town of New Braunfels, Texas. A quirky, German-influenced spot just outside of San Antonio, Fin’s childhood was split between river days with friends and quiet nights in his room making music on a laptop. His journey with music started unexpectedly in 7th grade, thanks to a school science project and a heavy dose of RiceGum-era YouTube inspiration. But things shifted in a big way when he discovered Dominic Fike in 2018. That blend of alternative and hip-hop cracked something open in Fin, and soon enough, he convinced his dad to take him to a pawn shop to buy his first guitar. That was the moment that everything changed.

Fast forward to now, Fin’s latest single “With You” is a raw reflection on feeling disconnected in a relationship, one of those “I’d rather be alone than with you” kind of moments. It was one of the first songs he worked on after moving to Los Angeles, and it came together quickly. A visit to Jonmarco’s house, a guitar loop, a balcony, and suddenly the chorus melody was in his head. Even though it sat unfinished for nearly a year, Fin couldn’t let it go. When he finally added the second verse and bridge, everything clicked into place. You can hear that tension and release in the track, it feels like a breakup conversation you’ve been rehearsing in your head for months.

Musically, his influences run deep and wide - Dominic Fike, Mk.gee, Dijon, and Lizzy McAlpine are some of his current favorites. But his roots go all the way back to The Police, Foo Fighters, Coldplay, and a healthy dose of early 2000s hip-hop like Eminem, Mac Miller, and Odd Future. Even country acts like the Randy Rogers Band have left their mark. All of that blends into a sound that’s difficult to pin down but easy to connect with, equal parts raw, melodic, and genre-fluid.

When it comes to visuals, Fin approaches things the same way he does his music, with instinct and collaboration. Sometimes the image pops into his head as soon as the song is written. Other times, it takes a deep dive with his creative director, Shanti Kot, to uncover the right look. They’ll pull apart the lyrics and themes, drawing abstract connections until something just makes sense. It’s less about creating a literal match and more about channeling the emotion of the song into something visual. That trust in intuition and collaboration is a big part of what makes Fin’s creative world feel cohesive.

Outside of music, Fin’s a big Minecraft guy. He’s been slowly building out a massive survival world, and honestly, it kind of mirrors his music career, layered, intentional, and always evolving. He’s also big on spending time with the people around him. “I have an amazing group of people that I'm surrounded by that are all so kind and talented and funny,” he mentions. That strong support system fuels him as much as anything else.

Looking ahead, Fin’s dropping a new single called “maneater” on May 8. It’s about getting caught in someone else’s selfishness, being strung along and left to deal with the emotional wreckage. Paired with a music video he’s really excited about, it’s a continuation of his growth as an artist who knows how to turn personal chaos into something people can feel. If “With You” is the quiet heartbreak, “maneater” sounds like the aftermath - and Fin’s just getting started.
