Coming from the peach state, 17-year-old Kaden Seigler hails from Savannah, Georgia as an artist-songwriter. His music is a mirage of many experiments, particularly in the realm of production, taking slivers of pop, r&b, and rap, so with that, fans branded him a new genre: ‘kadencore’.
“I kinda think it’s impossible to place me in a genre when I could drop a pop song one day and a heavy metal song the next. There’s a running joke that there’s this thing called "kadencore" and I just ran with it.”
Music has been no stranger to the artist, as he got more heavily involved in releasing music in 2020, but began toying around say 4 years ago. First inspired by the likes of X and the SoundCloud wave, Kaden was driven to institute as much passion into music as he was hearing for himself for the first time.
“Tribulation” is a good example of that (his most popular song to date) with a great appraisal of his voice and clusters of hyper pop noises as he scrutinizes the words “you always find a way to hurt me”. Through his catalog, he hopes to instill a message that resonates with a greater audience, getting them through the good and bad.
Kaden’s latest offering, “polaroid”, is the personification of a breakup saga and a personal piece for Kaden: “It was the first time I could show people I can actually do it all. Nobody looks at me and they're like "this kid can rap".” And that he does firing away some catchy bars over the bass with crashes of drums, in collaboration with producer Reesoo. The song is meant to have a sense of overcoming or ‘breakthrough’ overall, coming into oneself after freeing themselves from what may have held them back the whole time.
For the future, “Expect the unexpected” in regards to new music and be on the lookout for anything from singles to shock drops. He feels as though he brings a lot to the industry that has yet be to tapped into with his diverse appeal.
