We're out of the gates with another very talented individual by way of Paulding County, Georgia (disclaimer: Not Atlanta). The 20-year old, Míra, loves to make music with his friends and continues to challenge himself, building a name and following. Conquering "coming of age" music is a feat he has had in sight along this quadrennial period of seriously making music. He's had the writing bug since he was younger though, which all began with a simple Steven Lacy instructional on Garageband.
"Fireworks" and "Sunrise" are a couple of his biggest hits to date, raking in over 100,000 plays on Spotify. Today he hosts nearly 45,000 monthly listeners, but he couldn't have done It without some of his inspirations. "I love Jeff Buckley, Dijon, Frank Ocean, Elliott Smith, and artists that live in their music. In a time when everything is so instantaneous, manufactured, and even robotic, music that feels lived in. Let go with love and care." His music carries on this flag, because much of the substance, even for a younger person of his stature, is about real sh*t and it comes from the heart; you can tell.
His project Auburn Bleach is an excellent personification of the seasons almost changing. "Spring" opens with very melodic and lingering sounds, some drum kicks and hats, all the while still slow and soothing. A unique, yet great tool for his genres that he works with is a synthesizer which pieces well with his sound. Much of what he’s doing he mentioned is learning and dedicated to development as well. He's a craftsman with production of sounds as his main producer Makzey and has produced some great visuals like “April” directed by Patrick Smith.
"Years Wasted" debuted early February, Míra’s first single of the new year, which is a piece to the greater puzzle that is an EP in the works, he tells. The single surpassed 20,000 streams in a week. The song details the likes of an on again, off again relationship, something many can relate to at some point in their romantic lives. The trials and tribulations of love, waiting on one and other to make the right move. "Are you ready to wind back", Míra sings and it's time I draw the analogy to, as if winding back time can take us all back to the good times. But instead we're left with years wasted, which might I add sonically isn't bad whatsoever, as Mira softly utilizes instruments to profess over. There’s some great visuals
"I made the demo back in October, which was just the guitar, drums, first verse, and chorus. After sitting on it for a while, I went to Texas in December to work with my producer, Makzey, where we really fleshed it out."
As far as what 2022 holds for him, "More music, more collaboration, hopefully, some shows, but the only promise is good music.", so at the least we know one thing's for certain. He too mentioned hoping to get some performances in, run a sub 5-minute mile, And keep working with the likes of his best mates like Isiah Flowers, Cybertrash, Byemilo, Massimo, etc. Stay tuned with Míra on all platforms and go stream the latest below!
