JAY WES Takes Flight With "GLIDE"

Originally from Matteson, IL, JAY WES has been making a name for himself since his high school years. At first, he felt acting was his true calling and preferred form of artistic expression. But after a tragic death took place in his immediate family, he felt compelled to create his first verse and eventually pursue music seriously. 

Constantly being pushed by his peers to drop more, he decided to make use of a scrapped project and dropped “GLIDE.” Feeling like he had something to prove, he was dead set on making a project that showcased his undeniable rapping/songwriting ability. “No two songs would feel the same or be approached exactly the same, and I really just wanted to explore the idea that I think artists can have multiple sounds that feel distinct and natural without being pigeon-holed into only one," JAY WES explains. 

The final product is an introspective body of work that encapsulates his wild imagination.    The music video, now available on YouTube, doubles down on his message of staying consistent and brings it to life with a simple yet cinematic approach.
