Artist Highlight: Lucas Home

Lucas Home, an artist that embodies what it means to articulate and express flawlessly, each word having intention and meaning that adds to the track's momentum. Few artists write with the passion and authenticity that Lucas does, this has allowed him to carve his own lane in the industry with cosigns from some of it biggest names from Logic to Justin Bieber. His dedication to his craft as an artist translates to who he is as a person and resonates with listeners.

Over the years, Lucas has focused heavily on growth as an artist, beginning music in 2017, Lucas has put in countless hours committed to perfecting his craft as an artist, through this, one skill has shined the brightest, his lyricism, which he made a point to improve on his specifically  penmanship and learning to be himself through his lyrics. He reflects on where he started and understands that he used to have “such a different mindset when it came to rapping and music”, this mindset included looking for success in the same ways some of the most popular artists had gotten theirs, using them as a guideline of sorts. However, while this approach brought some successes it didn't feel right for Lucas causing him to focus on being himself and his own journey rather than the outside noise and journey of others. Lucas cites this point as him being “set free” as it allowed him to feel confident in his music and made him feel more authentic in his writing.

This switch in perspective is noticeable through his work as he gets a lot more open and honest about his personal experiences. He explains how his experiences with “the ups and downs of life” have given him a lot to say on these records, citing loss and grief specifically as the two most influential emotions in his writing. When he writes he takes time to unravel his emotions which helps lay the groundwork for his bar heavy storytelling tracks. Through all the hardships he has experienced he stays optimistic explaining that these challenges have taught him invaluable lessons and he says that “hopefully I can be a better artist on the other side of some of these internal, and external battles”.

This sense of honesty and connection extends beyond the page and into live performances. While Lucas has performed live many times, the past few in Denver and Seattle gave him an opportunity to perform far from where he is based and they hold a special place in his heart, “I had a great time meeting all the fans and the people that keep this dream of mine alive and really got to hang out and talk to them one on one and get to know them a bit and hear what their perspective on the music is and how it has impacted them personally”. Lucas’s appreciation for music and how it connects us is apparent in his songs and is one of his favorite aspects of performing live. He sees performing as an extension of his storytelling, a place where the emotions behind every song can breathe and connect with others in real time.

Lucas’s momentum is undeniable and is filled with intention, passion, and energy. He is focused on continuing to trailblaze and having spent years handling his own brand, he is now ready to focus on expanding his brand by getting more people involved. For Lucas it's about keeping the music genuine while expanding his platform and finding new ways to share it with the world. His dedication to authenticity remains at the core of everything he does “I really love this stuff” he says, “I’m looking forward to seeing where that takes us. 2026 we’ll be there most definitely“.
